Intellectual property management strategies
StemCyte adopts an integrity-based approach and complies with corporate governance regulations while continuously investing in technological research and development. In alignment with the Company’s operational objectives, StemCyte has established an intellectual property (IP) management strategy to ensure the lawful acquisition, protection, maintenance, and utilization of its intellectual property assets.
The Company encourages innovation and independent research among employees and actively collaborates with industry, government, and academic institutions. Through these efforts, StemCyte strengthens the protection of its intellectual property rights while respecting the intellectual property of others, thereby maintaining its competitive advantage and supporting sustainable business development.
Patent management
Patent management is conducted in accordance with the intellectual property management procedures established under the R&D cycle of the Company’s internal control system. The purpose is to ensure that patent strategies align with the Company’s key technological development directions.
StemCyte has established a patent application review process to ensure the quality and strategic value of patent filings. In addition, the Company maintains a patent management database to systematically record, integrate, maintain, and utilize patent assets. Measures such as cybersecurity protection and employee training programs are implemented to enhance awareness of intellectual property protection.
Trademark management
Trademark management is also conducted in accordance with the intellectual property management procedures under the R&D cycle of the internal control system. Based on product development and business needs, trademark applications are filed for designated products and fields of use.
Trademark design, registration, and usage are managed according to the scope and classification of use, and the necessity of maintaining trademark registrations is periodically reviewed to ensure effective trademark protection.
Trade secret management
For both internal and external operations, any confidential information related to business operations, technology, customers, finance, strategy, or personnel requires relevant business partners to execute non-disclosure agreements.
Employee employment contracts stipulate confidentiality obligations during employment and after termination, prohibiting the disclosure of the Company’s trade secrets. The Company has also established information security policies and related management procedures to further strengthen information security.
Copyright management
All works created by employees during the course of their employment belong to the Company. Employees are required to comply with copyright laws and must avoid using works that may infringe upon the rights of others.
External cooperation agreements require counterparties to provide warranties that their performance of contractual obligations does not infringe upon any third party’s intellectual property rights, including patents, copyrights, trade secrets, or other proprietary rights.
2025 Implementation Status
- The Company regularly reports intellectual property-related matters to the Board of Directors. The most recent report is scheduled to be presented on October 17, 2025.
