Energy management policy

Yongsheng Biotech Investment is committed to creating a sustainable environment for the next generation, and we support the concept of circular economy, which maximizes the efficiency of resource use through waste reduction and recycling. In addition to monitoring various environmental indicators to ensure compliance with all environmental regulations, the general affairs staff has further promoted improvement plans to minimize environmental impact and move towards the goal of zero pollution.

Improving energy efficiency and using recycled materials

The target is to reduce energy use by 3% within three years, with the following measures being promoted:

  1. In terms of air-conditioning system inspection and maintenance, the air filter, cooling tower, cooling water pipe and main engine heat exchanger are cleaned regularly.
  2. Replace the lamps and lanterns used by the company with energy-saving LED lamps.
  3. The microwave oven and rice cooker are electrically controlled and turned on only when in use. Clean your refrigerator regularly to improve the heat dissipation efficiency of your refrigerator and reduce energy consumption.
  4. During the Spring Festival and consecutive holidays, all units are reminded to remove the plugs of electrical appliances that can be removed. Such as: water dispensers, refrigerators, computers, printers, etc., and check whether the power in all areas has been turned off or unplugged before leaving work.
  5. Choose eco-friendly packaging materials and recycled materials that can be recycled or reused after use.

In addition, the bottled water and shipping packaging cartons used on a daily basis are packaging made of renewable or recycled materials or compostable waste.

Water Use, Intensity, and Reduction Management Policy

As a biopharmaceutical company, our operations do not require large volumes of process water; with approximately 118 employees using water mainly for domestic purposes, water use is not material. We have installed water-efficient dual-flush toilets in our offices and, prior to cleaning water storage tanks, we estimate required water volume and close inlet valves to reduce consumption and minimize environmental impact. Using 2024 as the baseline, the Company targets a 10% reduction in per-capita water use by 2030, and will continue to pursue this goal through routine conservation measures and employee water-saving education.

Waste management

As a biopharmaceutical company, any medical waste generated during R&D is collected and destroyed on a regular basis by licensed waste contractors, with disposal records retained. Routine office waste is sorted for recycling and removed regularly by our cleaning vendor. Internally, we also periodically review items requiring scrapping or destruction and arrange centralized handling by certified recycling service providers. The Company will continue to proactively pursue waste-reduction measures and monitor management performance to effectively control waste volumes while protecting the environment.
